Lushtemples — Heart Shaped

Twelve monoliths stand as symbolic milestones in this composition from 31 December 2021. According to the artist, the program was run one hundred times to generate this specific number of structures, while the resulting heart shape was an unexpected outcome. The work is part of the Lushtemples series, a system designed to represent the dense visual character of untamed nature. Zancan notes that these twelve forms refer to months spent developing his practice, emerging from a simple algorithm he likens to grass. This image was produced in an edition of 2021 for the hic et nunc collection.
