Gaso_Line - The Orange Incident

The artist’s short preface to this work, ‘Pumpjacks. Good ol’ pumpjacks everywhere’, provides a specific visual anchor. This observation of an industrial American landscape is paired with the recurring narrative of ‘The Orange Incident’, an ink spill at an airport. The title Gaso_Line connects these themes of travel and energy. From the Tree_Line series, this piece demonstrates Zancan’s method of using code to produce images. His practice merges procedural systems with subjects drawn from personal experience and observation. The work is part of an edition of one hundred from June 2025.
