For the series *Landscape with Carbon Capture*, the artist wrote a program to produce variations on a theme. The project is informed by his statement that carbon emissions will stain his canvas, no matter how green the colours on his palette. This metaphor connects the digital process to the material world of painting and the pervasive reality of pollution. Each image from the 2022 series serves as a record of this conceptual framework.
