White Mountain Winter #74

This work is from the `White Mountain Winter` series, a generative project grounded in the artist’s personal history. In their note for `White Mountain Winter #74`, created on 24 December 2022, drey describes the series as a collaboration with a machine to reconstruct scenes from memory. The underlying code for the series is seeded with recollections of a childhood in a mountain valley. The note describes the dual atmosphere of that place, evoking its cold bleakness alongside a feeling of peace and solace. The resulting images are systematic interpretations of a remembered environment and its distinct emotional character.
