Landscape with Carbon Capture #2744

Michaël Zancan describes this series, released in 2022, as a response to what he calls the "great hypocrisy of our times" regarding environmental action. Each image from *Landscape with Carbon Capture* is produced by a custom software program, merging the artist's interest in natural themes with his technological practice. In an accompanying note, Zancan states that while he has little belief in technology to "save humanity", he maintains hope in the human capacity for change. This particular work is a singular instance from that generative process, representing an artistic engagement with contemporary anxieties.
