Universal Rayhatcher #382

This work is a unique iteration from the Universal Rayhatcher project, completed in June 2023. It functions as a generative framework that invites the collector to participate in determining its final form. The artist provides a rendering algorithm based on his ray hatching technique, while the collector supplies a custom Signed Distance Function, or SDF, as a Javascript formula. The final composition is therefore a direct outcome of this interaction between the artist’s established system and the collector’s specific input. The piece exists as a directory of code which generates the image.
