This composition from the GEOMORPHISM series is the output of a specific generative system developed by Piter Pasma. The artist’s note refers to the code as a “4444 character magic spell”, a reference to the concise yet complex nature of the algorithms used. The work’s abstract, rock like forms are generated using a ray hatching framework. Pasma also frames the rendering time of one to three minutes as symbolic, relating it to the “vastness and agelessness” of the structures depicted.
