In Between #21

This work from February 2023 is part of the artist's In Between series. Piter Pasma developed the project from an earlier work created for the Genuary 2023 coding event, specifically in response to the prompts for “art deco” and “shadows”. The composition depicts a grid like fence structure that appears to divide the pictorial space, with strong light from an outside source casting shadows on the floor. Pasma notes that he uses several halftoning techniques to render tone. In some instances, this method intentionally disrupts depth perception, transforming the scene into an abstract arrangement of form.
