Part of the fx(params) collection, this piece is described by the artist as highly experimental code. It uses a version of his ray hatching framework designed with minimal restrictions for its parameters. The work is a direct investigation into the outcomes possible when a generative system is left almost entirely open. Instead of predefining visual traits, Pasma provides a system where a formula of up to 512 characters of Javascript code determines the composition. This approach aligns with his practice of exploring emergent behaviours that arise from logical and mathematical rules.
