The Heat

The artist’s note for this work states, “Under the shade of the tree, one does not fear the heat.” Created in July 2023, the piece is part of Ilusiones Arbóreas, a collaborative series considering the relationship between humanity, technology and nature. The image was generated with Javascript code, a method informed by Zancan’s background as both a programmer and painter. Ilusiones Arbóreas was a project motivated by charity, with partial proceeds designated for environmental initiatives. The series was presented at an exhibition in Valencia, Spain, and this work exists as an edition of 224.
