Star Dance #37

This animated work originates from the artist's interest in star trail photographs made with long exposures. The generative system for the Star Dance series imagines stars creating their own trails, moving in choreographed patterns. Of forty distinct movement types available within the program, each unique edition combines approximately eighteen in an irregular sequence. The resulting composition can be adjusted by the user with a slider, which controls the level of abstraction from a realistic starscape to a geometric design. This one of one piece was produced on the fx(params) platform in April 2023.
