Flowers and Sky #231

The artist’s generative system for the `Flowers and Sky` series produces compositions that appear organic and spontaneous. In reality, each work is built from a precise foundation of code. This piece, `Flowers and Sky #231`, was rendered using simulated brushstrokes to form its imagined trees, flowers and sky. Clark notes that the series is inspired by impressionism, a reference visible in the use of colour and the painterly surface. As a unique edition from the fx(params) collection, this 2023 work represents a singular state produced by the artist’s self contained program.
