Tree and Cloud #14

Created on 29 September 2023, this is a unique iteration from the Tree and Cloud series. The generative program for this project is defined by a primary constraint, the inclusion of one tree and one cloud in every output. Within this structure, the system produces a considerable variety of scenes. As the artist outlines, the cloud can assume unexpected narrative qualities, suggesting the trailing exhaust of a rocket or the form of a boulder descending from the sky. Further variation is introduced through the diverse colour palettes and the patterns of simulated organic brushstrokes used to render each scene.
